a half of a foot of snow as the eagles took on the lions and they watched the ravens take on the vikings in zero visibility. they are racing to get the lights back on and thousands are living without power across the country and with the theft of new ice accumulations more outages could be on the way. all that and the official start of winter is still two weeks away. and winter of course still has the grip over much of the country. at least check airports reporting delays of deicing the planes and keep that in mind here and the northeast and the moisture will continue through the day. winds are pulling from the south and west and keeping the air a tad bit milder and instead of all the wintry precipitation we dealt with yesterday there is more in the way of rain today and new york city with the quick burst of snow it will get washed out before another round moves in and we have a number of advisories posted and travel plans along i-95 you will encounter slick spots and give yourself plenty of time and of course make sure that you provide a little bit of extra space between you and the car
